And congratulations to KYakerDude who's won our second game in the Beige Cat semi for an unassailable 2-0 lead. At least the second game was slightly closer! Great games, thank you.

Invite sent to hardco - with him as first player.

Stitching time is here!
First blood to me by 28 to 12. Very close, only decided between the last two buttons when the patches worked for me.

Good game! I misread the opening move, and you picked up a huge advantage right off the bat. I struggled to get back in the game after that, but things fell apart when there was no way for me to get the 7x7 before you could, despite it looking like I had board advantage at the time.

Game two ties things up with an even closer game!

Hardco (p2) over robthomasson (p1) 30-28

Is starting player for game 3 highest aggregate score for the match? Or from the qualifying round?

Aggregate score for the two games of the semi-final. So robthomasson is player 1 for the decider.

Hmmm. A dubious honour - the second player has won In both our games. Must be time to buck the trend ...

Yep. The tournament structure was predicated on the possibility that there is a first mover advantage. The first results seemed to bear that out, but the win rates seem to be levelling out. Oddly, the aggregate of all P1 scores is still much higher. The trend is there to be bucked.
