You missed BlackIce. A discussion of HOI4 mods is definitely incomplete without covering BlackIce. I don't play HOI4 without BlackIce (if I can help it). Although, some of the mods you mentioned in your article do sound kind of interesting.

Fair point about BlackIce, it was one of the few I'd actually heard about before commissioning this article, but I left the picks up to Edward. We'll probably include it in the next update - this is only supposed to be an initial offering to get us started.

Ye gods man, you left out The Great War and Expert AI 4.0?!? The former is one of the most popular overhaul mods, the latter is THE mod for people who prefer the vanilla game but desire a much stronger AI opponent.

The Total War Mod is, in my opinion, the best. More immersive & complex than Hearts of Oak, but not quite the monstrosity that is BlackIce. It deserves a look-see by your team. Fully Man the Guns/Hydra compatible.

Would you take a look at my mod?
Tiles Galore, Expanded Provinces.
it is like Thicc cities, but 100x what it is, Nearly every city has been expanded in europe, along with every tile.
this is the most up to date version of the mod, but you can take some pictures from my original upload of tiles galore expanded provinces, or even better, some from this one, the popular one doesn't have an expanded middle east, spain or UK, nor does it have many of the fixes that this update has. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... les+galore
