Steel Division 2 Review

Up near the Korean DMZ there's a place called Rodriguez Range. If you make the trek up the hill to the control tower, you can almost see the whole thing.

It looked like a sure winner...until I tried to play it...
I tried the beta for several hours and the release just a bit to see the General Mode(which is a big PLUS) but ALL -in- ALL it is just a

"TOTAL CLICK FEST"

There is no way to even compete/keep up if you do not Know..and Use the HOTKEYs

I am not sure it is RTS. It is more like RTS x2 or x3 speed.

Now maybe if someone mods the speed down to RTS time..or in the game time 1/2 or 1/4 of the speed it is now I would revisit it....

for me it is a REFUND request....
Shame because I really like the whole game. It is just too fast to even enjoy

As far as I remember, there was an option to slow down game speed in the previous part. Did they take it away in the sequel ?

Too bad about that. I had hoped that with the emphasis on the single player campaign it would not be as clicky. I found SDN44 hard to manage at slower speeds and this one has bigger maps. The General mode did sound good though.

AP - I would suggest trying Armored Brigade. I know RTS too but you can customize events that will auto pause the game - like when you take fire or lose a friendly unit.

yup just too darn fast.......already got the refund.
I am and have been a long time supporter (12-15 years)of Matrix Games.
Might have to look into that one.

I'm really not getting the hate for this game at all. This is the most fun I've had with an RTS since the release of the original Company of Heroes.
